The set construction for the Sky News business channel proved to be a complex task, with the set having to fit into the physical constraints of the studio space. The unique design by Mal Nichols incorporated 18 meters of convex and concave 1.9mm curved LED screens. The brief was to allow flexibility with different camera angles within the limited studio space. The 2 pack high gloss desk unit was constructed to seat 4 to 5 people comfortably while maintaining these angles. The construction time frame for the set was 12 weeks and required coordination with the installation of the 1.9mm LED screens Supplied by Snoop Media. The finished product has given Sky News business the flexibility to use this set for different programmes, with the client very happy with the finished product.
